I looked at an event that was written in another language, and somehow it converted most of my literature that I look at to that language. How do I change it back to English?

Subject: Numbers under waiting games
Hi, I am curious about the waiting games listings. Under some of the waiting games there are numbers in parentheses. For example (3x) or (9x). I could not find any mention of these numbers in the FAQ, etc. What do they mean? Do they mean that the person who posted the game offer is offering to play that number of separate games of that type? Like if it says "Backgammon / (3x)" then that means the person wants to play 3 separate matches of backgammon?

Come on England: That must be it. She hasn't been on since April. she must have set the vacation days before leaving as a last act of kindness because she figured you were overworked and need extra thinking time. Then when she reverted to pawn she enters a new category and gets 10 fresh days. Of course, unless she logs in she shouldn't be able to set those days.

SL-Mark: yes but she was a rook until 6 days ago

but still confused has to why one game in a tournament should go to 22 days when all the others are set at normal

Come on England: Pawns are not abe to use auto vacation. Instead the vacation days are set manually under settings. When these vacation days are selected, it will reduce the number of available vacation days and naturally increase the time before time out occurs.

Of course, selecting vacation days and then later cancelling them, seems to be a ploy to irritate and confuse some that might be watching ;)

alilsassy: no she never used any vacation days because she never used auto matic vacation
so she would have nine days left

that wasnt my question
i would like to know how a 5day 5 hour time out game can be put at 22 days before time out
unless im missing something obvious im LOST!!!!!!

rod03801 & Artful Dodger : If you used Mozilla's PRISM you wont get faster, as it runs websites as applications rather than inside a browser

You can get it as a Firefox Add-on or a stand alone application

Fencer: That's pretty cool tool! You can even get email reports on site availability.

I know people like Firefox but it runs slow for me (not sure why as I've reformatted) but Chrome is fast. Very fast. So one thing that seems to give me problems (not just on BK) is when I use Firefox. Chrome isn't 100% compatible for use here but it's still very fast for my needs.

FrancescoLR: Furthermore, if you try to check out Host Tracker test, as it is clearly described at the top of this board, you would know that the current average response time is less than 1 second. It proves that BrainKing is not slow, globally said. We cannot be responsible for local network problems.

Subject: Re: "score of finished games"
plaintiger: "score of finished games" is the score in previous, finished games (or matches) between you and your opponent in this game type. It doesn't concern the current match at all. Note that if you play a match of several games, it is counted as one game for all statistical purposes.

So 1:4 (=0) means that the player mentioned first has won 1 game, the second player has won 4 and no games have been drawn. When your current match is over, one of those numbers will go up by 1.

Subject: "score of finished games"
okay, i see this question's been asked on here but i don't see that it's been answered, so i'll ask it too: what does the "score of finished games" mean? i'm in a five-wins match; each of us has won two games so far, and the "score of finished games" says it's 1:4 (=0). i'm guessing the '4' is the number of games played so far...but what is the '1', and what does "(=0)" mean?

thanks...

I'm almost every day online, depending on my available time on the day and sometimes in the night. Sometimes I stay very short, sometimes for a long(er) time, but I can't remember BK was slow for the last several weeks. No problems at all
If I understand well the EU wants to install a fast network all over Europe, if that's true and this dream comes to reality we've nothing to complain in a "few" years
