seldom: No, I didn't experience war, but my parents and grandparents lived during war and told me about it. My father was 20 years old during the 2nd World War and my grandfather was about 40 years old. I'm French and France was occupied by the Germans who committed acts of barbarism as in any war. They killed members of my family.
I give you an example : do you know Oradour-sur-Glane in France ? I hope you'll never visit this village. It remained exactly as the Germans left it, in homage to the victims. An entire village was massacred : the men were shot by the Germans and the women and children were locked up in the church and then burned alive. My maternal grandparents lived next to this village. Members of my family died there. No, I didn't experience war but my mother told me how she experienced it and I've understood very well the horror of this event.
Question : Today, should I ask Fencer to ban all players of German nationality because German soldiers killed members of my family during the 2nd world war ?

Mélusine: Thank you for that...I had never heard of that before, and it is wonderful that the wreckage s left as a shrine to those that died...Thanks for the link also...
