I created a simple application that takes a PGN file (chess notation) and generates a MOV video to replay the game. It's just a side project, something like a programming exercise.

This is a sample output from the BrainKing database: https://youtu.be/OA73wSwNbHE

Any feedback would be appreciated. (Too fast? Too slow? Some info missing?)

Fencer: That seems like a good speed.

If that is made a part of BrainKing, will it have pause and backward play?

Walter Montego: Hmm, that's unlikely. I don't plan to host any videos here, and I don't think it's possible to replay videos backwards on YouTube (or is it?).

Fencer: I like that Fencer, just right speed.....in fact it's quite mesmerizing watching it

And you found a game tenuki lost, that didn't happen very often

Fencer: That's pretty cool! It would be neat if every game had an "instant replay".

Fencer: Captured pieces ... Sweet.
Your highlighting the move squares and red check lines is nice touch.
