well I'll let Fencer decide how he'll disburse the winnings to you both, I'm sure he'll just send you both 25$ US or you might be able to work him for a two for one on the $ if you just have him apply it to a membership level .

My thanks to everyone who entered this tourney, I've seen some really badass pente especially in these final rounds.

in 3 more months the 2009 Tourney will begin, stay tuned!

Well I just thoroughly got spanked. Thanks for the lessons Nosovs & Rich, I definitely was able to learn a few things from the games we played which can only help in the future. Rest assured I won't be making those same mistakes again

this has been a fun and challenging Tournament & round of play, and the winner will have earned every bit of it that's for sure.

I appreciate everyone who signed up and congratulate all those who've made it this far. Some very tough pente has been played, my head still hurts! -Brf

1) please no comments about running games
2) for calculation the most important is: whoever sweeps me, he will advance, so crucial is how my P1 games with NPU and s3v3n will end, I can advance only if I win both

nosovs: Probabilistically, the most likely situation is where WUP sweeps aaru and ties the three of us. In that case, it's 4-4-4-0-4, and all four of us will advance. It's very possible that WUP will sweep or get swept in a set though...

Ne Plus Ultra: Not only in section 2 occur the interesting situation. In section 1 also able such situation
Ultra 5
7 - 5
Wekup 5
aaru 1
blaxx 4
Wekup will has better coefficient, so he'll advanced from this group.

Interesting development in section 2.

Nosovs is gonna end up with 6 points. Spavacz will end up with either 6 or 7, depending on whether he splits with tenuki or sweeps. If he ends up with 6 points, however, nosovs will win the tie and advance alone, because the difference in their S-B points is the difference between tenuki's wins and zum's wins. If spavacz gets 7, he advances alone, of course.

Brf - Round 2 - Snuts games

Well I've told him numerous times about it and he's just been caught in the middle of a maelstrom of home activity and a bunch of stuff going on associated with moving. Obviously he wasn't able to get his ISP situation worked out in time either so it's his loss, our gain. Definitely sucks, I hate winning that way myself also but that's why there are hard timers or we'd never get through some of these rounds. Good luck to everyone else in Round 2 & we can hope there's no more timeouts. -Brf

zoeyk: it depends on when he ran out of days. One vacation day counts for everything that times-out in a single day. The first game that times-out in a given day then grants the additional time to every other game that times out in that same day. Now i havent been paying attention (as i have no vested interest in him timing out and would rather the glory of winning fair and square anyway) but it may be that such a scenario is occuring in his case....

zoeyk: Yeah Snut's switching internet ISPs I believe and thus is not online, he's burning through his vacation days until that's resolved so I wouldn't expect many moves from him until that's sorted out. As far as myself I've been on vacation and otherwise so busy since the end of June that I haven't had much time for getting on the PC at all. I will try and get caught up on my games here at BK this week though.
