The Stand opened my eyes to his writings. It was regarded as horror because it involved the results of a bio catastrophe. the puzzles involve the church (i think roman catcholic, but not sure, at least cristian :)) as well as the tempeliers there are some things said in the book which are a bit controversial ... but nothing people should get mad about ... well as long as you wont get mad about the sorcery in harry potter :) 1. I haven't read it but that is just what I have heard.
By the way, I found The Grapes of Wrath at a used book store today. Can't wait to read it. I also bought my all time favorite, "Little Women". 30. A Million Little Pieces was so good I had my 15-year-old son read it (he's at that pivotal age). He fell in love with it of course. It was an eye-opener for one so young. And now I don't have the heart to tell him that large portions of the book are fiction....very good fiction nonetheless. lol 29. Is an excellent read. I highly recommend it. I also recommend The Kite Runner...already gave my copy away, I think, but if I find it I'll add it to the library. 21.
