I'll send emails to folks in the top 50 when we get two weeks from starting just to make sure all who may be interested have at least seen that the tournament exists.

I wish I wouldn't have had those timeouts in the end Zemljak and Mastema. you guys both played some seriously good pente and I loved following your games. thanks for playing, and please consider joining in the next St Patty's tournament starting next month. Since I won the prize, I'm going to leave the money in the pool and just use it for the next tournament. To everyone who has played in the 2007 tournament I give you my extreme thanks! please consider also signing up for the 2008 St. Patty's Tournament coming VERY soon! I had alot of fun here -Brf

tenuki: that's cool, I'm the one who set the time limits and if I had 300+ games going I'd be doing the same thing Tenuki. Do what you need to, I'd rather you took your time on things anyway....been a couple of really good and tough games!

Brf: Yes, sorry...I´m having a lot of work until end of year, and too many games to play, so I have them arranged by time left, so as to avoid timing out...

Well I've been trying to hurry this along but Tenuki has a ton of games he's playing and tends to take up most of the time limits per move. This is no big deal to me since I set the time limits in the first place and that's just how it goes. That being the case though, I think a more realistic Round 3 target to be towards the end of the year at this rate. Plan on Round 3 beginning right around the new year! (by the way I'll be doing a 2 day time limit for next years Patty's tourney). -Brf

Brf - Round 2 status

This round is taking longer than I thought but I take the heat on my section. I've been away alot this month and had to play some serious catchup when I got back. regardless, the only games left are between tenuki and myself and we're moving fairly quickly I imagine this should be wrapping up in a week or so. at this point it's anyone's guess at how it'll turn out. Right now Round three will contain Zemljak, Mastema, & Nairrasoy. if the pente gods are favorable maybe I might make it as a tie with Nairrasoy but it's too iffy to tell right now, Tenuki is playing very tough. No matter what happens I look forward to the Round 3 games coming soon, those are going to be some tough ones! At least I believe this tournament will end before the end of the year. Right now I believe I'll do another one of these on St patricks day 2008 but I'll probably lower the move limits from 3 days to 2 days just to speed it up 30% or so. I feel sorry for the folks in Aaru's tourney, I think that thing will be lucky to end in 2008! -Brf

elejpidi: I second elejpidi's comments. A great tournament, with some hard-fought games. I enjoyed it. Congrats to the round 2 winners, round 3 should start before long.

Thanks Brf!

Round three will be arriving alot faster than round two did that's for sure. thanks go to everyone for signing up! -Brf

only one game left it appears before we can begin Round 2! (though I can see probably 6 moves for each player best case scenario...probably a bit more) I was hoping a 3 day limit would've had us starting round 2 by June 17th. I don't see that happening though. Should be close to starting though, within a couple of weeks I'm hoping. Round 2 should prove to be a really fun and difficult bunch of games....I look forward to playing those who are advancing. -Brf

This is getting f****** riddiculous, the guy has 3 days for a move and didn't time-out even though he has't made a single move fo a month! This vacation days shouldn't really work like that.
