Does anyone knows if its barred or not?
I know black hole isn't anymore but not sure about inferno. I found some publish play for a draw but don't want to make any one think its a draw if its a lost. Please respond if anyone know

Oh I missed that, sorry. I'm convinced you know more about the game than I do. lol. The Cheetah and Shark are in much worse shape than the Inferno. Probably should be regulated to the Black Hole but perhaps not quite yet. The Skunk?

Thanks I might try studying them I did at one time but kept hearing mixed messages about that they lose than maybe draw than lose than draw so I stoped bothering lol. But i came across some conviencing play that seems to draw well so I'll see. thanks for your time

The ACf does have it as a barred opening. Even Alex Moiseyev lost using it in a banks ladder game on September 3, 2001 and only gained a draw when playing the opposite side

Checker players very much need Checker graphics.

Are you willing to draw new graphics? Fencer said he is a very bad graphician and does not have time to draw them. So if you are going to draw new graphics, I'm sure he'd be glad to use them :-)

HEX said he has submitted 2 sets of drawings but has not heard back from Fencer yet. Perhaps we are on the way after all.

Innovator has resigned his games and left the site. I sure enjoyed his checker posts and will miss them a lot. I hope he returns.

July 15th is the last sign up day. It's the Take No Prisoners Checkers Tournament. There will just be 8 players and one game each. Colors and match ups will be drawn by lot.

The members of the Killing Machine Fellowship proudly wear the KM logo as a sign of respect and comraderie that the KM has become known for. Our members have made friends as well as enemies in our tenure and although the friends outnumber the others 1000-1 , it appears that the 'one' is probably a little envious of our reputation and would like to join us. We,at KM are selective in our membership drives and not just anyone can make the final cut. Unfortunately there are some who,having not made the final cut choose to wear our logo,anyway. Therefore if you are playing a game against a KM,to be sure of the players authenticity as a true KM,just check our Fellowship membership. I’m not blaming Chief for what others are doing, my problem is with him directly. He sent me a message accusing me of, and I quote: “spying, ratting, informing, bad mouthing, obsessive vendettas”, “your days … are numbered…”, “Instead of just playing checkers you have decided to make the KM your obsession”. You and I played two games, you won one, and I won the other. Did I seem obsessed with KM at the time? The truth is I don’t belong nor do I want to belong to any group here. My reason for creating alternative nics (yes, more than one) is totally different. Chief seems to think that he has a right to ask me what my other nic is, and I disagree. My identity is my own business. As for having an adult conversation, I’m all for it. But I would like to have it here, so that I may expose Mr. Chief for what he is.

I've gone over this game a couple of times and agree it is fascinating, with some incredible play along the way. One of the most brilliant middle games manuevers to me was White's sacrificing a man on move 33 (and thus being down a man to Chinook!!! - nearly always fatal) in order to position a man on 10. White got his man back 7 moves later (move 40) and terrific play followed but, as Chief said, 30-26 did the trick on move 50 and from there Black suffered a slow & agonizing death. If, that is, computers suffer like us humans do in similar circumstances. LOL Thanks Chief!!!

George Miller who resides on top of Bank's Ladder tells me that he uses a method of playing from man down to cramp most programs. He jams his pieces on the lower left side and the programs don't recognize that their options start shrinking with each move. It's very tricky business and not for the squeemish because a single mistake and you lose but Miller seems to have it mastered.

The fact that you have added KM to your name has said that you are a member of the group. The fact that you are not a member, only pretending to be, says you're obsessed.

My wearing your logo is a way of mocking you and getting your attention. And now that I got it, you still didn’t answer my question. What did I do or say to show my obsession at the time? By the way, you won’t be able to delete anymore of my games.

There are some who would say that getting our attention and mocking us IS a bit of an obssession. We like to look at it as a cry for help.

In the interest of directing the DB back to checkers I am told that Usurper is making a detailed study of 3 move opennings with annotations by the legendary Richard L. Fortman. When he has time we may see some sample lines here. Also I'm looking forward to posting the relevant web sites.

Evidently Chief sees it as his divine right to remove any message that does not suit or support his theory of global conspiracy against the KM. And how dare thugs like myself even try to speak the truth?? The truth is bigger than that, it’s whatever Chief wants it to be.

I posted my entire conversation with Chief, which clearly showed his insults and accusations, and my repeated attempts to resolve the situation peacefully and with a smile.

This DB should be used to discuss checkers. Everyone would welcome an end to disputes but it is best resolved in private messages. The checkers DB is not the place for a soap opera.

Somehow this rule does not seem to apply Psycho-bashing messages.

All your messages have been left standing including this one but the exception was the long drawn out posting of private conversations which incidentally were not doing you a service according to the few people who read them. When this nonsense ceases I will delete all the non-checker messages no matter what position they have taken. For now all your earlier posts are up as well as those critical of you.
