what kind of engine is in it?

my Kawasaki 4wd ATV has a 300cc air cooled engine.

perhaps you could tell us something we dont know?
we are trying to keep this a friendly board.
I've been wrenching on cars,trucks,motorcycles,boats,and heavy machinery for 30 years.I know all about "getting grease under my fingernails".

are you using forged pistons?

ouch.
what prevention measures are you using to keep that from happening again?

no....just keep water on the outside of the unit,and only in the cooling system of the engine :)

I'm in the process of rebuilding a 900cc tigershark pwc engine.What a pain in the hiny!This thing gulped 2 sets of reeds,and must have ingested 3 gallons of water!
I keep telling folks..."2 things you cant get wet...boats,and boat mechanics" ;-)

how far away is the engine builder? surely he had the engines insured?
