I think its a very good idea. Maybe being able to have more than one Username per i.d. that way, like you changed yours BBW, it lets you have a bit of fun at certain times.
I changed mine earlier in the year and someone took MadMonkey straight away to teach me a lesson. Luckily they let me have it back though :o)

If i remember rightly is was mentioned before about putting it under the options on the left when playing a move, but to be in the normal place on the main page.

Kevin, i think what GrassHopper means is that they are show when we are playing an actual move, i think this was brought up b4.

endgame: Try logging out and back in again, see if that has any effect.

Fencer: For the last 2 days now all my BKR rating have gone from my main page. When i look back in settings, it has set itself back to show none - any reason why lol :o)

Fencer: Would it be possible to add a 'Set this action as default' box underneath the drop box on the tournament pages please.

danoschek: I have just been looking at the General Chat board. I totaly agree with what you say & this is all ready being looked into.
The big problem we have is that if anyone does want to be such a pain, they can just use different P.C's ,I.P's or alter there own in built one - its easy enough to do for anyone who knows enough about computers.

pipilo: I fully understand that(though not alot of people will). I am just trying to get people away from this theory of how many users we have, when in fact we don't. Fencer likes the idea of encouraging pawns to join in various ways, BUT those of us that have joined needed no insentive apart from the fact its a great site, it is down to the individual.
We also have had the problem in the past where people have wanted to use ceratin names, like there own maybe that they use on other sites. We have found in the past the alot of these names have been taken BUT are not being used at all.
There has to be a point where deleting old users is needed, if you look at the brainking.info board you will see there is only a certain ammount of storage space & any piece we can save until the new server etc.... comes in must be of help.

Fencer: To follow up some of the things recently posted on the BrainKing board & chat board.

I had a quick look at most of the users here - there are about 750 pawns who have not been on here this year at all (1200 approx counting January) - thats a 5th of the people that are users.

Would it be possible to write a small piece of programming that would automatically send an e-mail to anyone who has not been here for a while (2 months for example) reminding them of username, password & link to the site. I know of at least one site that does this twice before there details are deleted, it may encourage users back or free some space at least.

Also, there seems to be a great concern over pawns and how they slow the system down, remember those of us who are members we were all pawns once & i personally don't see any problem. It is everyones own choice to join or not, i don't think they should be punished because so far they have not joined (and ourselves for not having enough games to play).
I think at the end of the day we should look into encouraging pawns to join the membership. I read a few posts on being able to afford a 6 month / year membership all at one go. Maybe Fencer could look at setting a 3 month membership as 1 month would seem alot to keep dealing with as someone asked for. I do like pipilo's idea of having Support us, Paid Membership & Send invitation links popping up in various places could help a little.

I had another request by someone asking it it was possible for Big Boses to send a blanket message to all members of there fellowship, to keep them up to date & with new tournaments etc...
Would there be any way to do that or a way that what the Boses write on there news board to be sent to there members as messages.
It was also suggested that maybe there was an (XX new) number beside the Fellowship board to let people know.
I have explained the problem that a few people are having at present with new messages not being shown beside boards at the moment at all.
I think you probably have these on your list already Fencer, could you give us any news when possible.

i dont know if its possible, but how about go to fellowship, the only problem i can see is that most of us are in more than one, myself i would obviously go to my own one nearly all the time :-)

on that subject, there seem to be a few people now who are not getting the new red message number beside fellowship boards ??

grenv: as u know as rooks we already have a drop list at the bottom of games to choose which game to play next anyway, so we have no reason to come out and search for a game when the option is already there for you (pawns do not have that).
I am thinking more along the lines of us that have fellowships etc.. & get asked questions about the site from ppl who rather wouldnt bother Fencer, it would save time for us moving around the site :)

How about an option for us Fellowship Bosses/Managers to send messages to all members of the Fellowship at one go, as i know we don't all read the boards etc.....to keep them in touch ( or was that in line LOL ) ;-)

Just to add to that - i only have 5 ppl on at the moment & can't get to players on line OR Friends list - on line oppenents seems of - WEIRD ;-)

I have noticed something about this white screen (its white lolol - nooooo) it seems to happen with the more people on line.
If i only have a few friends/ppl i am playing on line i can get to my friends page, but the more ppl that come on seems to stop me getting there & also make other games very slow to access. All part of the server i guess - i am sure Fencer will tell me lol

I think its a great idea, the BrainKing.com board should be about this site, not how good or bad others are.....

Brian & Scampy: Cribbage etc... was spoke about a while ago. As you know this site is a turn based, so can u imagine how long a game would take.
i.e. Playing one card & then waiting for your apponent to play one, just one hand would take a while.
I think maybe cribbage as in once round the board with 5 cards may be better, i know Fencer is open to suggestions on it. Also he is working on single player games such as Solitare.
Any suggestions to help make easier versions would help him alot - hope this helps a bit.

I know about the more than 5 in a row rule, maybe Fencer only needs to change that, that was the only difference i could see between the normal games.
When i read that Fencer was working on Go-Muko, i just thought it odd lol.
So is all he needs to work on is the Pro Version which i love playing as well.

Fencer - would it be possible to add a little drop down list for us gaming nutters who create more than a one of the same game at one time for the Waiting room. Maybe in the parameters section & default it to 1 game up to 10 for example :-)))

I have never tried Dark chess myself (i play other versions). I was thinking it may help people that are trying to learn the game if they can see the pieces so they could understand it better.
The people playing always have the option of making the game private if they are that worried about others passing information on, just like in any other game of chess etc....

I just looked, but if the 20 game limit is the reason then Pawns can't anyway. Also being Pawns we have to wait for the first BK tournament to finish, as we can't enter more than one :(
