I would suggest leaving it like this. If a game times out, or ends for some uncontrolable circumstance, your ships' location will be revealed for your opponent, making it impossible to continue the game and forcing you to restart the game from the beginning. If it is a tournament game, that would slow down the whole tournament and render pawns like yourself who are in that tournament unable to join another until that game is complete.

Although the same problem could arise in Dark Chess, i like seeing where my opponent's pieces were, and be able to play through the game in that :-)

In the battleboats game, the final board should be shown with the placement of where the winners ships was.

I have tried never been able to see what ships I have missed.

I have looked before (because after looking for 10 shots for a stinking 2 ship - I want to know where it was!) - but I still could not see even after the game.

So as far as I know, it has always been like that. :-(

The last game i played i lost, I went back to see where the 2 ships were that I missed.. it doesnt show them.. but I know it has on other games.. can anyone tell me if they have seen this on their games too? I have mentioned this to fencer and hope to hear back from him soon

(regular) Battleboats is a new game here, and I'm guessing they are making sure it is working correctly before they bring new versions here - so hopefully soon! :-)

Isn't there another variation to this game? Like Battleboats Plus, at another site? This one moves soooo slowly.....
