Damn guys I thought for sure one of you would trip the other one up in at least one of the P1 games (it seems to happen at least once in the last round). well done by both of you! and you finished the thing super fast. very nice playing!

spavacz: Congrats to both of you; you both won all of your games with P1. That is a tough nut to crack against an opponent at the top of his game.

happyjuggler0: agreed, I screwed around too much in a game with Tenuki and he schooled me for it. :)

Everyone played well in Round 2 and congrats to the advancers to round 3. That round should start any time now, s3v3n and I are wrapping up the final game.

Congrats to spavacz and aleph for advancing to the next round. Getting to round 3 in this tournament is a major accomplishment, something I suspect I will never do.

Well done.

P.S. I am aware that round 3 has not technically begun, but round 2 is mathematically over, and the final game is surely not too far from completion....

Nice playing Aleph, Zoey and really the whole of section 2 for a timely finish! I've delayed section one a bit due to well...beer (lots), and just a bunch of summer action, but I am busting ass trying to get my stuff done here asap! round 3 should start in early September I'm guessing right now.

I haven't scoped all of them but the ones I have seen have been some really good games for Round 2 play...you guys are all worthy opponents.

well I've looked at none of them :D we'll see how it goes.

I always like playing something off the beaten path for me as far as round 2 goes (at least by the 3-4th moves) so if that happens then cool...if it's a bad idea then I guess I'll only being doing it the one time it takes to figure that out.

zoeyk: 18? I like it. What if it goes to 19, will anyone have a nervous breakdown?

P.S. Considering that I am super rusty I suspect some of those P1 losses will be mine.

not sure if this is ok, but any predictions on total P1 loses this round both sections combined?

After reviewing all openings, and considering who are playing in them,
I predict there will be 18 P1 loses total. and yes, 18 is a lot.

btw, not stoked that spavacz yet again finds his way into my section! Have to do my best to prevent the outcome I had happen in round 2 last year! good luck everyone left in round 2!
