harley: Planting marigolds is a bit weird though. Who wants a garden full of rubber gloves?

harley-littertray: I've just seen a site that has a few suggestions. Sprinkling pepper is one, planting marigolds is another... and Scarlet's citrus peel is another.

Rose: Hey, RosieRingworm - you got me into trouble and ran away!

I guess moth balls must be a bit iffy with kids around. I must get a gross.
I'm sure I read somewhere about a certain plant that keeps cats away. They hate the smell. Sort of the opposite of catnip! I'll have a look around and report back.

Moth balls

harley: You were raised by cats? Go figure.

Can you still get moth balls these days?

harley: Why not let Lenny have the run of the garden? Then you can tell your neighbour how to stop the cat poo that has suddenly appeared in his garden.

BerniceC: That would never work. Bwild and soap? The authorities would instantly be suspicious! (sorry, bwild - couldn't resist!)
Hide them in a can of 4X!

BerniceC: In the UK a few years ago there used to be a wild bird food on the market called 'Swoop'. It was made up of all kinds of seeds.
Occassionally some would inevitably spill onto the garden - and some of them would actually grow.
Certain seeds had to be removed from boxes after a while when certain (shall we say 'exotic'?) plants started sprouting in the gardens of sweet little old ladies.
Well, hey, man! Groovy!

Rose: Wood ash and barbeque ash are high in nitrogen and are good fertilisers.
