plaintiger: "picture" would be better (since not all of them are photos). thats why they are called icons LOLOL....take DANDANDAN for instance....monkey face (is a pic) with pink lips added is an icon...a straight pic is a pic and anything else in art ROFL....not artful, just art LOLOL....sorry Dan,Art,whatever!
ignore me im having a "light moment"
***oops***
I think I was a "TAD" slow there'
TAD = TheArtfulDodger...oh my gawd!!!
kithara: ahhhhhhhh. thank you. i searched for the words "profile" and "photo" and "picture". i didn't look for "icon"...i don't think that's the best term for such images. "picture" would be better (since not all of them are photos).
is there a FAQ i'm not seeing for how to add a photo to one's profile? if there's information posted in some regular place on how to add photos to profiles and fellowships, it needs to be more obvious, because i've done it several times and every time i do it i have to ask people what the required image sizes are and, as i need to know now, where to send the images once they're resized.
this information should be available in one easily- and logically-found location, shouldn't it?
plaintiger: That's an interesting one. I've had piles of fellowship invitations that I didn't want and that said nothing in the message to me, leading me to wonder why I've been invited. I think those messages are somewhat rude in their lack. Some I delete immediately with no response (they hardly deserve it, after all). Others are still pending, even from months ago, just in case I ever decide to join the fellowship. It saves me having to apply. So I am ignoring those ones, but it's because of potential usefulness rather than rudeness. Perhaps there should be a third option: "Take a raincheck"?
just as the requestor should receive notice if when their request to join a fellowship is denied, so the invitor should receive notice if their invitation to join a fellowship, play a game, or accept a draw is declined. if the invitor is not notified in these cases, it winds up appearing that their invitation has simply been ignored, which can cause tensions between people - because it can look like rudeness on the part of the person declining the invitation. thanks...
ellieoop: Make sure your auto vacation is on [check the Settings / Calendar page], then all your games using the vacation are safe until you run out of vacation days. Beware, this doesn't apply on games with a green or red dot which means "no vacation used".

with the hurricane hitting us late tonight into tomorrow, we probably will lose power, so how does the auto vacation work, should i take vacation days and if i don't take enough will that kick in for a few days or just one day, and should i not take vacation days and just rely on auto vacation.
now that i wrote all this i'm wondering if it explains it good under vacations, just in case, i'll leave this, and g/l to all of us in it's path.
nobleheart: That would be an improvement, but right now all the messages in a game are displayed at the bottom of the page. I would like to see message retained throughout a multiple game match.
besides,BK is known for unique games,we would want to be a copy-cat

I have noticed that Yahoo, XE.com, and Paypal all have slightly different conversion rates.
question eriisa have you researched this further?what did you find?
Geri39: maybe we should take a vote, see how many like it?dominoes isnt a very challenging game strategically,I can think of ones more interesting,I am sure fencer can judging by his past choices.

harley: Thank You for the options! I don't want to make Fencer work harder than he should..he definitely deserves a break! I can become a Rook & have at least 9 months added on that is left of the Knight membership
Aangepast door MagicDragon (21. oktober 2005, 22:46:12)
I do have a question tho...I became a Knight starting on Sept 15th & then becoming a Rook next week, would I get a refund from the original Knight payment minus almost 1 1/2 months for being a Knight? Sorry if it is a little confusing. I was wondering about that
I use paypal & whichever amount it is here for currency is the same amount that is paid thru paypal. Have to wait at least 3 to 4 business days for the transfer of funds to take place
I'm wondering, how much is 28 Euro's in US Dollars today? I'm thinking of becoming a Rook again after the short time of being a Knight ( way to much thinking of how many open game slots that I have)
plaintiger: To expand upon that suggestion, when I am playing a multiple game match, it can be disconcerting to have the message box cleared after each game. I would like to see the message box contain all the messages sent during the match, not just the current game.
Walter Montego: i second that - though as far as i can tell, the messages do show up for the person you wrote them for - at least sometimes - because i'll say something when accepting a game, then go to the game to make my first move and find a message from my opponent saying, for example, "ain't that the truth?"...to which i, of course, have to reply with, "um...ain't what the truth?" and by the time my opponent makes their next move, they don't remember either...
it is really annoying. i agree that all messages pertaining to a game, from the sending of the invitation on, should appear in the chat history. thanks...
plaintiger: Is this in anyway related to the bug of having your reply to accepting a game invitation not appear in the message or show to the person you wrote it for?
Because of this bug, I have stopped writing a reply when I accept a game and wait until my second move or after my opponent's message stays on the page.
Fencer, it'd be nice if all the messages pertaining to a game would appear.
plaintiger: Just tested, and nope - when you reject, nothing gets sent to the other person - even if you write something in the box. Not sure if this is a bug or is suppose to do this.
does the person requesting membership in a fellowship not receive any notice back if the request is denied? i spent about fifteen minutes agonizing over the proper wording for a "request declined" notice and when i finally got it right, i chose "reject" (which should be "decline" or "deny") from the popup menu, clicked the "confirm" checkbox, and hit "send"...and then today i got a message from the person i thought i'd sent that message to saying, "why's the decision taking so long?"
