CHISINAU, Moldova (AP) — The leaders of Ukraine, Poland and Moldova have met over concerns about Russian influence in separatist eastern Ukraine and fears that Russia may seek to meddle in Moldova's general election.
Following the ratification of the Moldova Association Agreement in the European Parliament, EPP Group Members went to Chisinau to support the Liberal Democrats, of the pro-European camp in Moldova, in their electoral campaign.
An overwhelming majority of the European Parliament today voiced its consent to ratify the Association Agreement between the European Union and Moldova, including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA). MEPs wanted to send a strong signal of European support and encourage other Member States to ratify the Association Agreement as soon as possible.
