Fencer can you add that to the rules section please?

That one does not count. It's again a direct hit checkmate, so there's no chance for the Ice Age to prevent mate anyway.

joshi tm
That mate occurred in White's 40th move. The Ice Age occurs after Black's 40th move.

Otsikko: Cheversi Strategy
Here's a thought...

Black's advantage is great, but White has plenty of chance to win, if he plays one of his Knights last, isn't it? Black should play nezt to that Knight that cannot drain points for played rooks...

Ok, I think the image sever did'nt load all the pics I really couldn't see the bishop at c8, so I thought there was castle possible.

Hi people,

in this game: Amazone Schaken (MadMonkey - joshi tm) Brain King refuses me to castle in this move... Why?

Just a thought...

If I would play in this game 10: .. c5, is my opponent able to capture en-passant?

AbigailII: that's why White has the swap option, so Black played the ""first"" move instead.

dicepro: Makes also a different game, less skill and more luck.

So we have three new games to implement (lol)
Dice Cheversi
Pawn Cheversi and
Swap Cheversi

Otsikko: Re: Black's advantage at Cheversi
coan.net: Since the player in disadvantage has the swap option, the player in advantage should try to play those first two moves in balance, otherwise White will swap and probably win.

Extra pawn is also a good idea to make another game variant.

Those two new extra games could be submitted to Fencer. But the original version is still imbalanced, and these suggestions' rules are so different in comparison to the original, those are total different games.

Muokannut joshi tm (19. Syyskuu 2007, 06:50:19)
Cheversi is a quick, nice game, but there is a problem - even with the rules change in January, Black's odds are still too high to win. Any ideas to solve the problem?

Edit: I know something;
Swap Cheversi: White plays his king in the extended center, then black places his queen anywhere, places another White and black piece on the board and White get the Swap option.

ScorpionOct64: Or, instead of a queen a Janus (or Arch Bishop) piece an instead of Rooks one extra Bishop and Knight. Also, why not having Knightmating Chess?

Does anyone feel for this? Of course add the Chancellor and the ArchBishop in both cases. Game last 10 turns. And how about adding http://www.chessvariants.org/diffobjective.dir/knightmate.html Knightmating Chess?
