So what gives? Why the sudden appearance and in the top 100 when just a few weeks ago BrainKing wasn't even on the chart? I wish the chess-links site would explain the column headings and maybe write up something.

Think you mean 50 moves. Brainking does not automatically agree a draw but Fencer will make the game a draw if you request it and your opponent will not agree otherwise.

Is this standard chess rule? I never heard about it, I thought I trapped king and that's it but I have to put it on check and trap at the same time. Interesting!

6. Junio 2014, 17:48:37
Justaminute
Asunto: Re:
Chaosu:
Stalemate is where the side to move (black here) can make no legal moves and the game is a draw.
The king can not move to the g file because all squares are covered by the queen. He can't move to H5 because it is covered by the queen and knight. He cant go to H3 because it is attacked by the bishop. So the king is not in check (so it is not check mate) but he has no legal moves so it is stalemate.
