This backgammon variant was invented by Jos Boudestein and extends the classic backgammon rules by the following points:
Each time you hit an opponent's piece, add one extra piece of your color to your bar (the destination place for your captured pieces). These extra pieces count as Race pieces, so you can bring them in anytime you want.
You must have all your pieces in your home area to bear them out. For example, if your total number of pieces is 22 (because you have captured 7 opponents pieces during the game), you must move all 22 pieces to your home area before they can be borne off.
(hide) If you want to play a game with an opponent of a similar level, you can define a required BKR range for a new game invitation. Then nobody with a BKR outside this range will be able to see/accept it. (Katechka) (show all tips)
