If you join Goldtoken let me know. I am kookaburra there and own a number of very active clubs. And also some clubs I assist with in chess com. I can help you. It is a bit tricky when you first join a site. We also have a system in Goldtoken where when new people join we arrange some games for them from some friendly people.

Kookaburra: You could do it but I think you will find that you are flogging a dead horse at times.
The apathy is from the players in this site.
I cannot navigate around Goldtoken peculiar way of joining team games or signing up for games.

Crosseyed Mary: I didn’t mean to criticise. But I am in the Checkers and Russian checkers and both haven’t taken off. I don’t really like backgammon much and so far it has taken off. I am doing ok in them. Maybe people just play individual games here and clubs are not so important. That’s ok. People play what they like.

Why don’t they choose team challenges with games that are popular. Who chooses the games?

I agree when you can’t get 4 teams of 4 players for a game. It isn’t very active. In Goldtoken I have a number of clubs and can get 40 checker players in a tournament. It is a good site here. Just not very active. And the clubs here don’t seem to do much.

What may have caused some decline was when the owner made it clear he had lost interest in this site.

I was looking forward to the Russian Checker Team challenge and it didn’t start. It would appear at this site clubs do almost nothing and team challenges almost non existent. Is there any hope for this to improve????? I am looking to leave currently as this doesn’t seem like a very active site.
I am new here.

DeaD man WalkiN: some people simply don't know the rules. Don't get angry; refer them to read the rules, and to stop playing if they don't like them.

Aside from that, I can understand that the doubling cube can be an extremely annoying thing, especially if you don't understand it - your opponent roles a lucky 6-6 and turns the game around, and then has the audacity to double... but that is Backgammon. [this is an explanation, not an excuse!]
He needs to learn to use the cube. And if he cannot lose, he should go play with dolls instead.

DeaD man WalkiN: So its a game using the beating cube? A multi game match? Well you can start by offering a double before you roll your first set of dice.. Still not sure why he is angry?

A scheduled downtime of BrainKing is planned on Thursday 25th April 2019, 07:30 GMT+02:00 due to a system upgrade.
As far as I am aware this did happen. And you can see previous updates.

Crosseyed Mary: Modification :
I did a test. It shows only the number of games that friends have on our first page. To see the whole number of games of a friend, we have to modify and go to "opponent" (above the games) and choose the name of this friend.

Mélusine
Subject: Re: Glitch.
Crosseyed Mary: For me, it’s the same. In fact, instead of seeing the whole number of games of the friends, it shows only the number of games from the page where we are. It means, for example, that if you have several pages of games, and that you are now on the first page of your games, and that the games of your friends are on the second page, you won’t see any number beside the name of your friends. I don’t know if what I’m saying is clear...

It is just me or is anyone else experiencing  the same problem as me?
I can no long see how many games I have with my friends. All I can I see is one game only. Then as soon as I make a move it will show only one game.
I know this not an important issue. But I thought with the down time it might have resolved this glitch.
