Here's a great example of how some players can suck the life out of what was supposed to be a fun tournament.
I do wonder what the winner of this tournament will actually win. Ironically the tournament was called lucky 13. Bet the creator didn't think that it would take approx. 13 years to play out.

Clandestine 1: and it is only on Round 2....so would have a hell of a long way to go....Some of those
people could be dead by now. and looking back at some of the winners to go to the next round...I only checked the first 6 or 7 and one hasnt been on this site since 2009, so this could go til 3009 hahahahaha

Already posted on the interview page, but it case people don't see it there this may be of interest.
Fencer agreed to be interviewed again, but the system doesn't allow the same person to be interviewed twice so the username Filip was created.

The good side/ is you can play at bugcafe for cheap. Try a month for just 5 USA dollars, 3 months for 10.50 or upto a year for $30. That is cheaper than brainking.

In that board, I've posted links to some other turn-based game sites - as more are suggested, I will update the list.

Does someone play with the application Brainking on Android ? I don't find it on Apple. Is it better ? Do you find the same games ?
Question to Fencer : Will the application replace this site in the future ?

Most other games don't work, but as stated, any phone browser should work fine.

MrDelete: It doesn't matter if it is Friday morning where your opponent is. What matters is that it Friday morning according the BrainKing time...which as it happens is also where your opponent is.

Perhaps you understood that point, perhaps not. If you are in the US and you have Fridays and Saturdays off, and it is Thursday in the US, and you run out of time on your clock, you *will* be timed out even though it is Thursday here in the US.

The rule for when your weekend day starts is BK time, or server time. If you are unsure of the time zone conversions, just log out and look at the clock on the upper right and it will tell you what day it is and what time it is in server time.

All of this is assuming he doesn't log in and start making moves before he times out of course....

crosseyed: Actually I am not sure that even buying a membership will help. He is a brain rook which meant he already blew through his entire vacation days for the year since Jan 1 already. It is my understanding he won't get any more vacation days even if he buys a membership; he would have to wait until Jan 1 rolls around again to get new vacation days.

If his member ship had been a knight and then he had bought a rook then I think he would get more vacation days.
