(warabe/tóng, child. Hey, if Oscar Wilde can use Greek, Latin, and French in the titles of his poems, I can have Chinese characters!)

Oh! greatest reasure of them all,
One day you'll hear Nature's call,
Like great Saul thou shall fall,
To Oblivion in thy pall.

Subject: Complete
Deep in my soul
where all is pure
where time stands still
and all is sure

Where naught but love
can enter in
the only one since
time's begin

The part of me
I thought was lost
But now have found
what 'er the cost

You are my love
my other half
Now we're complete
we'll always last

For my love

William Wordsworth:
Written in Early Spring

I heard a thousand blended notes
While in a grove I sate reclined,
In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts
Bring sad thoughts to the mind.

To her fair works did Nature link
The human soul that through me ran;
And much it grieved my heart to think
What Man has made of Man.

Through primrose tufts, in that sweet bower,
The periwinkle trail'd its wreaths;
And 'tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breathes.

The birds around me hopp'd and play'd,
Their thoughts I cannot measure,—
But the least motion which they made
It seem'd a thrill of pleasure.

The budding twigs spread out their fan
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can,
That there was pleasure there.

If this belief from heaven be sent,
If such be Nature's holy plan,
Have I not reason to lament
What Man has made of Man?

Subject: I Often Contradict Myself
I often contradict myself.
Oh no, I never do.
I argue with me day and night.
That simply isnt true.

Oh yes it is. Oh no it's not.
I do this all day long.
Oh no I don't. Oh yes I do.
That's right. No way! It's wrong.

I'm really quite agreeable.
I argue night and day.
I love to be around myself.
I wish I'd go away.

So if you see me arguing,
it's certain that you won't.
I like to contradict myself.
I promise you I don't.

How does the sun light the world?

How does the moon affect the tide?

How do the clouds make the shapes

That we see in the sky?

How can I hear your voice

From so far away

And yet not see you

As I clutch the phone

How can I know

There's a Power up above

Someone I can turn to

and know unending Love

If I understood it all

I'd explain it to you

But just know I trust it all

I do ... just like I trust you

My Precious Child

The greatest gift we will ever know
is a child, born to love and grow.
Conception is a miracle in itself;
the start of new life and good health.

Such a treasure your precious child is,
who will thrive on every hug and kiss.
Hold them close and sing them songs;
they will only be a child for so long.

They may not always smell pure and sweet,
a dirty diaper or a dampened sheet.
But with a loving cuddle and a beautiful smile,
the joys of parenthood are all worth while.

"Thank you Lord for our precious child."

To err is human
That's what they say
Forgiveness divine
For that we pray

The grass is greener
on the other side
That's what they say
but they run and hide

More blessed to give
Than to receive
Who are 'they'
Who know these things?

Does the following qualify as poetry?

SILVER LINING

As you were walking down the road,
You looked up at the sky,
A crow messed on your face,
As it flew across, high.
And you didn't curse, or scream
Or even let out a sigh,
But just murmured to yourself,
"Thank God, pigs can't fly."

Ditty^Doo: No offence, but haikus are supposed to be poems of three lines consisting of 5-7-5 syllables, speaking about nature in an allegoric-philosophoc way. (I know, what I wrote cannot really be seen as a haiku, but that was before I understood what haikus are all about. Nowadays, I write my haikus completely different, and mainly in Hebrew.)

John Barrymore ( actor, wittisist d. 1946), who said once at a very fancy gala in the 30's, 'If you cannot say it in 10 words or less, you've said too much'..One that I wrote after realizing something I'd of rather not:
" Love can break
