i had the same problem...all i could come up with was that the time you enter is GMT, and it converts that to your local time.

Subject: tournament entry
as a brain knight i can not enter a tournament because i am already playing in an other tournemant of the same kind. so far i understand, but if i have completed all my games in that other tournament i still can not enter an other tournament. So i am the victim of the slow play of other players. Is that right? I have completed that tournament!

Does that mean there should be no quotes in any of the tournament names?

Goonerg: I've found it! Before the fix is active, please remove the quote mark (') from your tournament name :-)

28. January 2003, 07:52:02
Fencer
Goonerg: Oops! There is some minor error. Please wait, I'll fix it :-)
Kevin: Yes, similar to new game definitions. I'll do it.

And what about having the ability to select exactly what levels may join a tournament, instead of just a minimum (similar to the way you can do when sending out an open invite). That way for the prize tournaments, for example, it can be restricted to just pawns.

There is a tourney for players with 1600 and above ratings - the "Premier" 5 in a line tourney. If you are good enough, please can you sign up, so it is a great tourney.
Cheers,

Fencer, Can you arrange something where as well as being able to start a tourney, we can adjust the settings within it, for example, - you can set the group stages so the top two players qualify from each group, meaning more of a chance for players who are unfortunate and are drawn with a top player in their group?. It would make it more interesting for the players in the group stages, even if they lose their first two games against the aforementioned opponent knowing they could still qualify.
Cheers,
Bry.

Subject: First tourney
Fencer...I just won my first round in the First Brain King Tourney in Anti Reversi...well waiting for my opponent from the other game...thought I should check something out...do I have to have a certain number of spaces free to play in the next round???Or am I still able to play if I have 20 games going??? Just want to make sure:)

26. January 2003, 08:02:31
Fencer
Kevin: The restriction is currently applied only when you want to sign up [the sign up link will appear for you or not]. Once you are in, it is not considered.
Should I improve it?

If there is a tournament with a rating restriction, and you are currently above the lower limit, but by the time it starts your rating is below the lower limit. Will you still be able to play? (same applies for upper limit)
Thanks!

Thanks Debi and Molly..It has been on a 2 min refresh. Today it is a little better. Must be the weather. lol 37F this morning in Florida. For us thats cold..
I do get the white showing up quite a bit. Especially at G/T. I have called Msn for many things, but this they haven't been able to correct. I have used the webtv reload and it comes back, usually.

Barb,
Most of the time with webtv, this is a 'refresh problem'. Go to your settings and be sure that you have '2 minutes' set as your refresh time. If not, then this is likely your problem.

Joe: Once you start it, the tournament maintains itself with no assistance :-) Only if it creates more than one section for one game type, you will be asked to start the second round. But it will happen after weeks/months.

I am  wondering if any of you are on webtv. I would like to know if while playing a game the board rolls. I try to make a play and it either rolls up or down. I am constantly trying to control the board. Thanks to anyone that can help. Hope I'm not on the wrong board for this. Haven't been able to look it all over yet. BARB
