 Other game sites

BrainKing has never been afraid of a competition :-) Here are a few other turn-based game sites:

- Gold Token - Many different games
- Dragonheels' Lair - Many different games
- Pocket Monkey - Many different games
- Little Golem - Many different games
- ItsYourTurn - Many different games (not updated for years)
- Daily Gammon - Backgammon Games only
- Chess Corner - Chess Games only
These 3 sites of "sister" sites of each other, with many types of games:
- Brettspielnetz(German) | - Jij Bent!(Dutch) | - Your Turn My Turn(English)

Please keep things positive. Best advise I believe is to try out different sites. Find what works well for you. If you don't like it, don't go back and try another site. Nothing says you only have to play on 1 site. At one time, I played on about 6 different turn-based game sites.

earldrake1: Pogo used to have it. Unfortunately with Java going away, they removed it. From what I understand, it was a really good implementation of Bridge. Have you checked to see if there are any phone/tablet apps?

ketchuplover: Goldtoken announced that they would be down for a little while today, right on News on the main page.

coan.net: They seem to have gotten it that way now. The settings in Preferences that they tell you to click don't make sense that they would have those results. But they do.

coan.net: You aren't missing anything. As usual, it's people butting in, who don't know what they're talking about. (Going on and on about the option that puts the MESSAGE box on top of the page. When that is not what anyone is even talking about) And of course those that have to put in their opinions for NOT having it that way, when all people are asking for is the OPTION.

I don't think there will be much more from the "higher ups" until after the weekend. Mecir made a post, but he too was confused about what was being asked for.

coan.net: WebTV service itself has ended. That's why they took it away of course. But yes I remember several times over the years that people were told to use the "webtv set up" if they wanted certain things.

The News section says to use the "single column" set up, for those who liked the webtv set up. I don't suppose that puts it on top, does it? (Probably not)

Snoopy: Do you ever have problems with pogo crashing you??

I started playing dominos there, but before the game is done, I'm crashing. Kinda maddening. Yet I was able to play Keno there for quite a bit longer.

The only other site that comes close to being as good as Brainking is Goldtoken.. to me, anyways.

coan.net: What kinds of games were there? What was the whole "colony" and "homes" concept?

ScorpionOct64: MSN games has a few card games. Real time, of course, not turn based. I particularly like Hearts there. There aren't that many multi player card games there, though. But if you like live Hearts, I recommend that.
