always the highest dice possible ;) . you have to make sure that the piece you have moved (eg) 3 places isnt the only move that could have also played the 5 first and then the 3 . lol its hard to try and explain easily .

yes always the highest dice possible , like bumble said it is possible to use the other but you might get called a cheat . I have had it happen to me before now without even realising .

if you can use both dice (even if it is a bad move for you ,like leaving open pieces ect) then you still have to use both pieces .

does anybody know if what Mamba is saying is a load of rubbish or true ? , if someone can "trip" the dice wouldnt it just be the same roll that the person playing the game would have rolled anyway .

yes a few sets of doubles at the wrong time can blow the game for you , no matter how good you are .

the dark backgammon sounds a good idea ... but i think it would be a really long game with the pieces going back to the bar all the time also in regular backgammon you can change your mind about your move that bit would have to be disabled
