All games of this tournament are generated with enabled autopass feature (in game types where the autopass can be used)

Okay, so we can create a tournament where autopass is a forced option for anyone who participates, even if they have it turned off in their settings?

Does this seem to make any sense?

We both lost one game, I lost to the highest rated player that i played and they lost to the lowest rated player they played, does it work justly?

Im sure this must have been discussed before, but it would be nice if when we search for tournaments to play, that we not be shown ones that we are not eligable to play in? I mean, why should a private tournament show up in a search? And why do we have to go through 3 steps before we find out we are not eligable?

On another related note... I would like to see his BKR's reinstated to the level before any games that were timed out. Seeing him with a 1500 backgammon bkr just doesnt seem right.

Ah... so I am confused! The tournament set up for Bumbnle by Cariad was done apon his return and he had signed up? I didnt hear about it untli later and when I signed up there were already over a hundred people and I thought that was why, I didnt realize he was in that one, I thought there was one he was not in, sorry!

17. February 2006, 22:31:26
Czuch
Am I the only one confused?
There is a tournament for Bumble with a 6 month membership, and a tournament with Bumble in it?
It is only the tournament with Bumble in it that people in his section are resigning, obviously? Its true at some point Bumble will win this tournament if everyone resigns all their games with him. I a sure if this happens, fencer will do something good with this money, perhaps another tournament in his honor? But it is also likely that some will not resign their games with him, and it is likeley that someone other than Bumble will end up winning this tournament. Anyway it works out, no big deal, those who resigned should not really care if they lose...

This says it is a random tournament but it is really only for spider line 4, 2 games wins match, under 2000 bkr, single elimination.

furbster: So when you do a random tournament with several different games and a BKR limit, then the bkr limit would be required for all the games included, I guess?

For example if I am over 2000 bkr in one line game and under in all other line games and I want a random tournament for all lines games for under 2000 bkr, then I would not be eligaBLE TO PLAY IN ANY OF THE GAMES?

I was just looking at a brain tournament...

150 brains to enter, and you have to get 2nd place to win your 150 brains back.

Plus 30% of the brains entry fee doesnt go back into the prize pool?????

Can someone tell me what sense these brain tournaments make? Am I missing something here? I mean especially in non luck games where anyone is free to use a program, that makes them even less sense to me?

Subject: Re:
Pedro Martínez: I agree... There is something wrong when you are the last to finish games in many different tournaments. We have gone through this before, and yes you have the right to play as slow as the limits allow, but why would you want to, and why so consistantly?

This being a GAME site, I think games should be the priority. Why one would volunteer to do such a time consuming, non game playing job as a Global Moderator when they clearly dont even have enough time to play their games in a respectful manner is beyond me? This goes back to another debate I have had before.... Moderators and Globs, including BBW have gone on record that they do these jobs as a favor to the site and there is no ego involved. But how are you doing a favor to the site by distracting your time to the point where you lag in your games? Its funny that BBW never worried about too many pond games until he happened to hit the number one ranking.

BBW, you are an intelligent man, why does it take you years of playing 500 or 600 games at once to realize that is too many for you? Or why did it take you months of playing 50+ pond games only to realize this was too many, and coincidently, it happened to be the same time you hit the highest ranking? No ego????? If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck.....
