Bernice, I am simply responding to a public post. Do I think Fencer is trying to steal 3 Eur from you? Absolutely not. Do I think you should be asking him privately what happened and giving him a chance to explain? Absolutely.
And only when you feel wronged should you be airing this out to the public.  And with evidence backing up your claim.
I don’t know Fencer. And I don’t know you. I have nothing to gain in this conversation other than sharing my two cents about what I would have done to try and rectify the problem. If you didn’t want my two cents, then don’t post publicly.
As for being blocked,….. I don’t know how I’m going to sleep tonight.

Wow. Dirty laundry. Try a private message to figure your shit out. This sounds like computer operator error to me. And I’m giving my two cents because you’re posting this on a public forum. This is a private matter. Go public if you can’t resolve it in a fair manner. But it sounds like you never even tried.

Aganju: I thought it just stopped working years ago. But since Carpe has zeros across the board and first logged in sometime in 2009, that would mean it hasn’t worked since then.  My totals are just over 7800 completed games under statistics. But I can see by my profile that I’m closing in on 21,000 completed games.

Although, I would venture a guess that I completed 7800 games around 2011 not 2009. But it’s possible.

Negative actions tend to have negative consequences.
Let’s try standing together for Ukraine. What can we do as citizens of this planet to help support Ukraine and the people suffering. I believe this war will not end until Russia has destroyed every last piece of Ukraine with an exclamation mark on top of it. They want to make their point and take what they can from their “victory”
The People will survive, they can rebuild wherever that may be. The people will remember and the world needs to remember as well. If everyone stands together, strong with commitment and perseverance, the entire Russian empire will collapse. It may take time, but Russia needs the rest of the world to survive, the world does not need Russia to survive.

Marshmud: Jim, I’ll match your prize for the winning team.
My thoughts are a tournament Separate from the tournaments that Ian just created.
9 point doubling cube, 5 man team tournament. 3 days per move, with no days off.
My question would be more about if Fencer would be willing and able to divide the prizes for the winning team.

Need some help understanding the rules for Parachute Checkers. I’m not checkers player but I believe the rules say that a promoted piece must jump,  although the rules are very difficult to decipher.
With white moving next, shouldn’t the queen be forced to double jump?
PS - I don’t know where to post for help anymore because most of the boards are inactive.

I agree with MadMonkey though about BK being a far superior platform then GT. BK needs some TLC and rejuvenation though.
I will always keep a few games going though, just so I can see if improvements happen and if it’s worth returning.

Crosseyed Mary: it would be great if the good people that frequent this site stay and play. It would make it even more attractive and fun to be a part of if everyone just stayed.  However,  I understand that we are all paying for a service and our expectations are high due to the services we have received in the past.  I for one have accepted the fact that “service” will basically mean essential services only and anything above that likely won’t be considered or dealt with. Brainking is more like Brainpawn now but still allows people to get together to play and have fun.
With that being said, I encourage you to stay, but I also respect your decisions.
Take care.

playBunny: change the name of Brainking to something similar. The company brainking goes out of  business and a new company emerges. There would be no need to honour old memberships for anyone. Perhaps offer a little incentive or discount for black rooks that continue to want to be part of the new "brainking"

Mélusine:I use the BK app on android all the time. It's not very good, but I use it because it's fast. I can go on and on about the problems, but I guess the pros out way the cons for me because I still use it. It's good for the gammon games (except using the doubling cube). Some chess games are good, except problems occur in most variants (try scoring a pawn).
Anyway, I play my gammon moves thru the app and then log in once in a while using the Web for my other games. You also can't see messages using the app which kind of sucks but....I still use it.

Here's a great example of how some players can suck the life out of what was supposed to be a fun tournament.
I do wonder what the winner of this tournament will actually win. Ironically the tournament was called lucky 13. Bet the creator didn't think that it would take approx. 13 years to play out.

Ok, I just ran the test, I left multiple boards open for over an hour and I did not receive extra points, so this modified system is definately better.

Subject: Re:
King Reza: I agree with that. I would like to see something like: points for moving (as is now) but points for every win and points for a draw and even a point for a completed game (but this may also leave the door open to someone resigning games continuously to acchieve points). As for discussion boards, I understand the motivation to get everyone involved with Brainking, but I don't know if there is a "fair" way to moderate this.

but, does it still go by reading "new messages" or just spending time (one houre) looking at each board? Like I said, it wouldn't be difficult to open up every discussion board in different windows and walk away from my computer for an hour or two.

Not that I want to throw another wrench in the system, but what happens if I open up 20 different windows on different boards? Does this mean I accumulate points 20 times faster then everybody else?

02i: If you set your page to only display a certain amount of messages (I can't remember how low you can go) then you can review each page separatly, rather then having all your messages on one page. You may have 100 pages to review (equaling 600 points), and that is just for one board. You may even have more then 100 pages to review! I guess you would have to view them from oldest message to newest message and set the display to a minimum. As for me, mines set for the max and I only view the newest messages because I can't be bothered to go back 3 years in time to review old messages (or at least bring the page up).
