pedestrian: Agree. It is not really serious just a way of dealing with some frustration that I have almost 20% of my games with one of the top turtles.

pedestrian: Non turtles with 1500+ have the freedom to play inside and outside the sanctuary if they want. It is just admirable that than can handle that amount without beeing turtles.

Yes just add that you have to be involved in a lot of games (something like 1500) to qualify and it could work.

Another idea is to create a "Turtle Sanctuary". The sanctuary consists of a lot of tournaments with long matches like 33p in Backgammon. To qualify for these tournaments you have to be involved in at least 1500 games. In the sanctuary the turtles can sit and play against each others for some ten, twenty years.

I think a "Turtle Rating" could be invented and assigned to tournaments. It could be the estimated number of years the tournament will last considered the slowest participants average response times.

Aganju: Thank you good advice though a little complicated. And there is always a risk that one of the turtles will register after me.

beach: I will consider following your advice which I thing is wise. I can understand that some like unlimited amount of games but the turtle I am speaking of has today 3363 games going on. It is hard to play so many daily with some enjoyment.

I am involved in a backgammon tournament with 21 p matches. After 8 weeks one of the matches has reached 7 completed moves. With more than 20 moves per game and roughly 20 games per match the tournament will last for maybe 10 years with the response times one of the participants use. He is involved in more than 3000 games. I think there should be a limit so you can't have so many games going on. Even if you are on the highest membership level. I am 64 and maybe I will have to make "The final resignation" before this match is over.
