Czuch: I see you fly the American flag
I did not say that all Americans will lose to the rest of the world (as your chip count clearly shows) only that most them will!

Emne: Re: PayPal Issues
Fencer: This stems back to the Bush era and treating the entire population of America as little children and chastising them by banning all cross border online gambling in 2006.

Whilst I am not defending PayPal, they have to show to the US authorities that they too are observing this law, for which they will need some ridiculous audit trail to show that they have carried out the required due diligence.

However, Americans can still gamble, but they can only lose against other Americans. One might conclude therefore, that the real reason for the US gambling act (other than loss of tax revenues) is that the Americans were losing en masse.

This resulted in a weakening of the US$, as the overseas winners were selling their US$ winnings back into their local currency. In fact the UK£:US$ reached 1:2 in 2007 and since then, the US$ has strengthened to 1:1.5 as we can no longer take their candy.

It would be an interesting statistic on BK to see over time how the following weightings change:
Total Win(Loss) / Number of poker players in America to
Total Win(Loss) / Number of poker players in Europe to
Total Win(Loss) / Number of poker players in Australasia etc.

alanback: I do believe I understand what you mean, and to an extent would agree with you.
Excuse my extreme example below, as perhaps this was unfair.
Briefly, as this potentially interesting debate is best done off this board, the self conditioning that you imply, surely results in the de-sensitising of emotions and reactions. The very things that surely make us human and not machine.

Emne: Re:
alanback: That is seriously flawed logic.
It is like saying that the emotions of shock and disgust most humans would experience when confronted with something despicable, e.g. child abuse, is our problem and not the abusers problem.

Furthermore, in an example of an advertised television programme which might cause offense, we can choose not to watch it. Bernice has no choice, but is rightly taking responsibility and control so that she may have a choice.

rabbitoid: Thank you, nice tip!
Have been looking for other Easter eggs and finally found one.
On the left hand side menu, one click on Games, then two clicks on Profile, three clicks on Statistics, four clicks on Information, then whilst keeping the ALT key down, press F4 four times quickly.......PRESTO the easter egg appears

Tilpasset af SL-Mark (1. April 2009, 12:36:18)
Just discovered something quite neat.
The 'Main page' link just under games, has the number of games where it is your move in brackets in red. If you place your mouse cursor over this, it brings up a list of these games and you can select the game from this list!
Saves you from having to always scroll down the page.

Equally, "Never attribute to ingenuity that which can be explained away by stupidity"

rod03801: What is the topic we should be getting back to? I've totally forgetten since it strayed so far off the straight and narrow.

Fencer:
I submitted the below message on the tournament board, but no one came up with a response, so thought it was only me! Clearly not.

Also, I can't see how to delete these tournaments from my view.

Subject: Tournament Filter
Excuse me if this has been asked before.
Is there a way to apply a filter to the tournaments which will not show certain creators.
e.g. show all tournaments not created by angelstar.

This should cut the current list of 1230 tournies by at least 75% and make the list more manageable)

(nothing against angelstar, just that I don't want to see these tournaments)

Note I already have game filters on.
Thanks.
